Body HOT SPRINGS – Ground was broken recently to bring water to the soon-to-becreated Seven Sisters Youth Garden located on Library Drive, between the Hot Springs Public Library and the Book Barn.
This clay sculpture created by Hot Springs artist Matt Lanz will be converted to bronze and eventually placed near the Minnekahta Avenue bridge, which helps lead travelers to the South Dakota State Veterans Home.

Body HOT SPRINGS – Rio Grande Bible College (RGBC) of Edinburg, Texas, has expanded to Hot Springs after its acquisition in April 2024 of the former Cornerstone Bible Institute (CBI) campus located just to the north of town at 27317 Wind Cave Road.
Aerial Allison, who has worked in City Hall since 2022, began as the new City Administrator last week, replacing Jaclyn Kelsey who resigned in October.

Body HOT SPRINGS — Young entrepreneurs have opened three new retail spots in downtown Hot Springs for businesses that had previously been ‘mobile’ or from their garages.

Northern Lights brighten local night sky

Body HOT SPRINGS – Social media was literally lit up with photos of dazzling colors created by the aurora borealis last Tuesday night, Nov. 11, when the “northern lights” made an unusually dramatic appearance over much of the upper half of the United States.
Due to the power being out at the Mueller Center last Thursday, Nov. 13, the Hot Springs Bison gymnastics team held a portion of its after-school practice outdoors.

The Hot Springs City Council accepted a bid of nearly $1.4 million to replace the Minnekahta Avenue Bridge in 2026. The city, which pay 20% of that amount thanks to 80% being paid through a BIG grant, is also considering an idea posed by Councilmember Debra Johnston to utilize the bridge’s current historical railing in the new bridge, which however will increase the final cost.
