Body HOT SPRINGS - The following is a synopsis of the calls fielded by the Fall River County Dispatch Office for Feb. 5 - Feb. 11. Calls include police, sheriff, ambulance, fire and other emergency services. The information is taken from the public log at the sheriff’s office.

The Battle Mountain Humane Society, located just north of Hot Springs on Hwy. 385, is a no-kill sanctuary for dogs and cats which took in a total of 370 animals in 2023 (183 dogs / 187 cats). City of Hot Springs and BMHS working together on an improved relationship

Body HOT SPRINGS – During last month’s Jan. 2 regular meeting of the Hot Springs City Council, the contract for animal control services for dogs and cats was renewed with Battle Mountain Humane Society (BMHS) by a 5 to 3 vote.

Body HOT SPRINGS – In the spring of 2023, Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) received a grant through the South Dakota Department of Health to reach out to families through the Family First program.
