Body HOT SPRINGS – When rural Hot Springs residents Mike and Ann Remington found out there was a wildfire burning next to their property along Cascade Road this past weekend, they were across the state at their family’s farm near Willow Lake.

Body HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs School District recently announced Tyler Norton as this year’s Teacher of the Year, and Michelle Nelson as the district’s Classified Employee of the Year.
Hot Springs resident Robert Paul, right, addresses a question from the audience during a meeting held this past Sunday, Feb. 23, hosted by his group known as “Tax Relief for Property Owners.” On the left is District 30 Senator Amber Hulse of Hot Springs who was on hand to speak about the property tax legislation currently being considered in Pierre, including her own SB 191, which was to be voted on by the full Senate this past Tuesday, Feb. 25. See next week’s newspaper to learn how the vote went.

Body HOT SPRINGS – A District 30 Legislative Crackerbarrel was held on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 15, in Hot Springs at the American Legion from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Body EDGEMONT – The peace of a Winter evening was shattered on Wednesday, February 5, when a 6th Avenue home explosion and fire completely destroyed the home and severely injured the resident.
