Bison get two ‘AA’ wins over Douglas, Sturgis

STURGIS – Facing a pair of Class “AA” basketball teams on the road last week, the Hot Springs Bison boys improved to 12-3 on the season following 58-55 win over Douglas on Tuesday and then a 66-46 win over Sturgis on Friday.

Oelrichs girls pick up wins over Takini & Edgemont

OELRICHS - The Oelrichs Lady Tigers earned a pair of wins recently against the Takini Skyhawks and the Edgemont Moguls at home last week. The team may be low in number, but they are high in spirit and spunk, according to Coach Eric Mabin.

HOTSPRINGS–Nearly70wrestlers from 14 different teams took part in an all-girls wrestling tournament this past Friday at Case Auditorium, in what hopes to be an annual event in Hot Springs called the Black Hills Last Chance Girls Tournament.

STURGIS – The Hot Springs Lady Bison basketball team had a close contest on the road this past Friday versus Class “AA” Sturgis which unfortunately ended in a 38-41 loss. “We started out with a very cold shooting first half as we went 6-24 from the field,” said Hot Springs head coach Mike Remington.

EDGEMONT – The Edgemont Lady Moguls basketball team split a pair of games last week to remain .500 on the season (9-9), following a 54-24 win at home versus Hulett, Wyo., on Tuesday, Feb. 6, but then a tough 57-58 road loss at in-county rival Oelrichs on Friday, Feb. 9.

OELRICHS - The Oelrichs Tigers boys travelled to Edgemont on Monday, February 5, for their first of three games last week. On Thursday, February 8, they hosted Takini, and on Friday, February 9, they matched up with Edgemont again at Oelrichs.
