Body HOT SPRINGS – After considerable discussion where each council member weighed in with their thoughts, the Hot Springs City Council passed a resolution to increase several city fees in 2026 by a 5-2 margin at its Monday, Dec. 1 meeting last week.

Body HOT SPRINGS – The 48th annual Christmas in the Hills celebration, held in Hot Springs on Dec. 5-6, was a brilliant display of community pride and Christmas spirit.

Public meeting regarding wastewater plant is Friday

Body HOT SPRINGS – This Friday, Dec. 12, at 5:30 p.m., the City of Hot Springs is hosting a public meeting in regards to the wastewater treatment facility and its need for a $27 million improvement project.
More than 30 people gathered together at Fall River Health Services last Tuesday, Dec. 2, to celebrate the start of an expansion project which will more than triple the physical size of the facility’s Emergency Department.

Body HOT SPRINGS – Work is currently underway on an expansion project that will more than triple the size of the Emergency Department (ED) at Fall River Health Services in Hot Springs. The project is slated to take about nine months and be completed by the end of the summer.

Body EDGEMONT — Two days before the town was blanketed in its first snow, Edgemont area residents had the option of two community feasts held on a beautiful Thanksgiving Day last Thursday, Nov. 27.

Body HOT SPRINGS ¬– Local poet Sherl Cederberg was named the International Western Music Association (IWMA) Female Poet of the year on November 15, 2025, in Albuquerque., N.M. “I squealed,” laughed Cederberg, “I was so excited.

Community served during Thanksgiving feasts

Body HOT SPRINGS – The Thanksgiving holiday in Fall River County once again included multiple free-will community feasts, with the granddaddy of them all held at the Hot Springs American Legion, where more than 900 meals were served over a threehour period last Thursday, Nov. 27.
A little rain didn’t slow the enthusiasm of breaking ground for water at the Seven Sisters youth Garden for volunteers Wanda Marshall, Danialle Rose, Tom Ghost Dog, Tavin Cross Dog, Joe Ferrell, Tavon Cross Dog, Mary Kate Nelson, Kerry Pile and Brian Wynia.

Youth Community Garden sees first phase begin in Hot Springs

Body HOT SPRINGS – Ground was broken recently to bring water to the soon-to-becreated Seven Sisters Youth Garden located on Library Drive, between the Hot Springs Public Library and the Book Barn.
