Nearly 700 people attend South Dakota’s Survivor 50 Challenge in Hot Springs

Despite the event not starting until 9 a.m., fans of the television show Survivor began lining up in front of The Mammoth Site this past Saturday morning, Feb. 14, at 4:30 a.m. By 9:30, there had been about 300 people come through the front door to participate in South Dakota’s Survivor 50 Challenge. These Survivor fans from Minnesota, Colorado and South Dakota – some of whom drive all night to get to Hot Springs – were the first ones in line to find the Survivor Idol “hidden” inside The Mammoth Site.
Anthony Schweigert and his mom Amber, both of Spearfish, were the very first in line and earned the right to be the first ones to hold the Survivor Idol promptly at 9 a.m. when the event first began.
