It was a crisp 30 degree morning on Saturday, Nov. 2, as members of Keep Hot Springs Beautiful (KHSB) and others joined together to decorate Centennial Park in festive lights. With soft Christmas melodies wafting through the air, the people and a table laden with treats and coffee all were ready to take on the task at hand and dispersed with lights, ladders and Christmas spirit. The previous night on Friday, Nov. 1, KHSB also hosted their annual banquet. Photo by Charity Maness/Fall River County Herald-Star

The concrete in front of Hot Springs City Hall was torn up last week so that crews could begin the construction of a new bump-out across from the pedestrian bridge that leads to Centennial Park. Public Works Engineer Tracy Bastian said the bump-out has been part of the plan all along, but could not be constructed until the southern portion of the suspended sidewalk was completed, and thus allowing more room for traffic.
