Funds needed for repairs on Centennial Park fountain

Body Publisher HOT SPRINGS – The Centennial Park water fountain is in need of repairs and local resident Gerald Collogan – whose father Don helped build it in 1976 – is raising funds to do it.

Edgemont Historical Society hosts program about ranching on the Cheyenne

Body EDGEMONT – The Edgemont Historical Society hosted an evening that showcased the rich roots of ranches along the Cheyenne River on Tuesday, October 22. There were 48 folks in attendance and many ranching families were represented from both Edgemont and other communities in Wyoming.
It was a crisp 30 degree morning on Saturday, Nov. 2, as members of Keep Hot Springs Beautiful (KHSB) and others joined together to decorate Centennial Park in festive lights. With soft Christmas melodies wafting through the air, the people and a table laden with treats and coffee all were ready to take on the task at hand and dispersed with lights, ladders and Christmas spirit. Boys & Girls Club provides vital service to local families

Body 15th annual Wine & Wreaths benefit is Nov. 16 HOT SPRINGS – Over the past 15 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Hot Springs has evolved into one of the community’s most vital youth-oriented services.
The concrete in front of Hot Springs City Hall was torn up last week so that crews could begin the construction of a new bump-out across from the pedestrian bridge that leads to Centennial Park. Public Works Engineer Tracy Bastian said the bump-out has been part of the plan all along, but could not be constructed until the southern portion of the suspended sidewalk was completed, and thus allowing more room for traffic. Fall River County Commission rescinds the county burn ban

Body HOT SPRINGS – During their October 17 meeting, the Fall River County Commissioners voted to rescind the burn ban that they voted to enact during their October 3 meeting. Before voting on the burn ban, the commission asked Emergency Manager Frank Maynard for his input.
