Local students on BHSH Dean’s List

SPEARFISH – Black Hills State University released the Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. A total of 680 students maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours, including eight students from Hot Springs and five students from Edgemont.

HOT SPRINGS: Taryn Cook, Kiera Hill, Abby Kerr, Candra Maciejewski, Emma Meeks, Margaret O’Malley, Jesse Powers and Autumn Westinghouse.

EDGEMONT: Morgan Peterson, Kali Schmidt, Caleb Simons, Elizabeth Tidball and Aiden Whitley.

SD Mines announces its Dean’s List

RAPID CITY — South Dakota Mines has recognized 690 students for their outstanding academic performance for the fall 2023 semester.

A total of 615 students earned a place on the Fall 2023 Dean’s List while 75 part-time students were named to the Fall 2023 Academic Recognition List for their accomplishments. The Dean’s List celebrates the accomplishment of full-time students, while the Academic Recognition List honors the success of their part-time counterparts.

Rachel Rickenbach of Oelrichs was named to the Dean’s List, while Ellie Hollenbeck of Edgemont earned Academic Recognition.

In order to merit a spot on the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester. Full-time students must have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours for the term. To earn Academic Recognition, part-time students must have earned between three and 11 credit hours that term in addition to the 3.5 GPA.

Mitchell Tech Fall 2023 President’s List

MITCHELL — A total of 356 Mitchell Technical College students earned recognition on the Fall 2023 President’s List, according to MTC President Mark Wilson.

To be named to the list, students must earn a term Grade Point Average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and be registered for at least 12 credit hours of academic work during the semester.

On the list from Edgemont is Remington Allen and on the list from Hot Springs who earned a high honors with a GPA of between 3.75-3.99.

South Dakota State announces fall 2023 dean’s list

BROOKINGS -- More than 3,400 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the fall 2023 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the dean’s list.

To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Overall, 3,475 students from 39 states and 24 foreign nations are on the list. Nearly 1,500 students received a 4.0 GPA, including the following students from Hot Springs: Cage Consoer (College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences), John Lane (Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering) and Meme Ozon (College of Nursing).

Others on the Dean’s List with a 3.5 to a 3.9 GPA included Taylor Pulscher (College of Nursing) and Megan Sanders of Oral (College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences)

Bossert on NDSU

Dean’s List

FARGO, N.D. – Ella Bossert, a Sports Management Major from Hot Springs, was one of 4,111 student to make the Dean’s List at North Dakota State University in the Fall Semester. Students must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least nine class credits to qualify.

Honors Lists

IOWA LAKES - For the Fall 2023 semester, 263 students at Iowa Lakes Community College made the Dean’s List after earning a 3.25 GPA or higher for the semester.

Included on this list was James Hayes of Hot Springs.

In addition to achieving the required GPA, students must also be full-time and enrolled in 12 or more graded credits to be eligible for the President’s List or Dean’s lists.

Dean’s List

MITCHELL – Dakota Wesleyan University recently released its fall 2023 dean’s list which includes a total of 316 university students and five from Fall River County.

To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 on a four-point scale. They also must complete at least 12 hours of academic work during the semester.

Local students on the list include Peyton Ostenson and Jenna Ostenson of Edgemont, and also Landon Iverson, Caleb Maciejewski and Emma Wieseler of Hot Springs.
