March 17, 1943 - August 31, 2026
Shirley Louise (Kindt) Phipps was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by two great loves: her love for Jesus Christ and her love for her family.
Shirley went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 31, 2026 at her home in Battle Ground, Wash.
She loved Jesus with all her heart. Her faith was the foundation of who she was and how she lived. She trusted Him in every season, prayed faithfully, and sought to share His love and kindness with everyone she met. Her relationship with the Lord was not simply something she professed—it was something she lived each and every day.
But next to her love for Jesus was her deep and abiding love for her family. Her family was her greatest earthly treasure. She adored her children and grandchildren and cherished every moment she was given with them. She celebrated their joys, carried their burdens, prayed for them continually, and loved them without condition. Her family always knew they had a safe place in her heart and a place they could call home.
She had a way of making the people she loved feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her hugs, her laughter, her words of encouragement, and especially her prayers will remain treasured memories for years to come.
Her passing leaves an ache that words cannot describe. Yet, even through the tears, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now with the Savior she loved so deeply. The faith she lived, the love she gave, and the example she set will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
Her family will miss her more than words can say, but they will carry her with them—in their hearts, in their memories, in the lessons she taught them, and in the faith she shared with them.
