Linda was born January 19, 1945 in Lennox, S.D. to Lawrence (Dutch)andGerryTemple.OnApril4,1964,LindamarriedTerry Hanson and they were happily married for 61 years. Linda and Terry were each other’s very best friend. They had two daughters, Terri Lynn and Tami, two son in laws, AL and Dean, two granddaughters, Ashley and Tiffany, and three great granddaughters, Ella, Gemma and Avery.
Linda and Terry owned “The Great Escape” motorcycle shop in Pierre, S.D. In 1981 they moved to Brookings, S.D. and bought the Donut Barn. In 1985 Linda and Terry moved to Oregon and Linda began to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses soon after. Linda was baptized in May of 1992 and was dearly loved by her congregation in Oregon.
In 2023 Linda and Terry moved back to South Dakota, (The Black Hills), Hot Springs, with their two daughters and son in laws. Linda was well known for her big smile and her contagious laugh. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Linda had a bright hope for the future which is found in the Bible at Revelation 21:4,5 - “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”.
She is survived by her family above, as well as her three sisters, Nina, Phyllis and Debbie, and their extended families. Linda passed away peacefully with her family at her side.
