HOT SPRINGS – This Saturday, May 30, the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce will kick-off it’s second annual Rockin’ Riverside Summer concert series with the Lonely Rangers, featuring Hot Springs native Ross Johnson.

The Lonely Rangers Band is an upbeat Black Hills area acoustic country-rock musical act. Johnson and his longtime friend Johnny Sundby began the group in 1998 and have played 800-plus shows together as a duo, trio, or full band which also includes Jambo Kirst, Mark Van Alstyne and Rob Wechsler.

This summer’s series also includes five other live performances on June 13 (Wild Blue), June 20 (Sundown Messiah), July 11 (Ivory), July 25 (Flannel) and Aug. 8 (Andy Babb & The Big Beautiful Band).

All performances this year will take place in Centennial Park from 7pm-9pm, featuring beautiful views of downtown Hot Springs along Fall River and the suspended sidewalk, under the lights and night sky.

“Rockin’ Riverside saw 250plus community members and visitors at every single concert last summer,” said Hot Springs Chamber Director Amber Sierra. “We welcomed local families, friend groups, neighbors and visitors from across the Midwest. There was time to dance, laugh, eat and enjoy the experience.”

Thanks to the sponsors of the event, it is free to the public.

“The Summer concert series strengthens community connection and engagement while supporting local businesses and vendors. It also enhances the visitor experience through the ongoing schedule,” said Sierra, who added that there is still a need for more sponsors for this year’s concert series.

Support for the event is available at various levels which range from $350 for a Community Spotlight Sponsorship, as well as other levels which range from $1,000, $2,000 or $4,000. For more information on what sponsors will receive for their generous financial support, call Sierra at 605-745-4140.

“In 2026, we will also host 50/50 raffles, and we also have tshirts and glow sticks available for sale as well,” Sierra added. “We hope it will be a seasonal highlight in Hot Springs every summer.”
