Annette Helena Stalcup

Body

May 25, 1933 - September 2, 2024

Annette Helena Stalcup, our devoted and loving mother (grand, great grandmother and great-great grandmother) peacefully passed away at the age of 91 on September 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and great grandson, Zane.

Annette was born May 25, 1933, to John and Mary Termes at their home in Whitewood, S.D. After meeting the love of her life and lifelong best friend, she married George Stalcup on February 24, 1962. They went on to raise a family of six kids.

Annette enjoyed spending her time taking a leisurely ride through the hills, embroidery, creating beautifully colored pictures, and watching her favorite shows. She loved a good lunch or dinner date with her family and friends, and always was the first one to reach out to visit with loved ones. Her life was devoted to taking care of her family. She made the best banana bread and cinnamon rolls. Her calming presence, poised demeanor and her occasional (but always tactful) leak of what she “really thought” made her the amazing woman we will always miss dearly.

Annette is survived by her sisters, Bev, Snovie and Liz; children and their spouses, Michael, Carla (James), Randy (Natalie), Terry, Brian and Elaine (Doug); grandchildren, Joanna, Angela, Jennifer, Stephanie, Kane, Desiree, Lexi, and Cody; great grandchildren, Michelle, Sage, Baizelle, and Dylan; and great great grandchildren, Elise, Ellie, Skylar, Quinn, Thyme, Aries, and Lily.

In celebration of Annettes life, her family will gather for her service Memorial Day Weekend 2025 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D. and laid to rest next to her husband, George.

The family would like to thank Seven Sisters Living Center in Hot Springs for the excellent care she received while there.
