HOT SPRINGS – Hot Springs Area Right to Life (HSARTL) formed in January 2015. Now, nine years later, they are hoping to start a new community tradition.
On Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, they will host the Love Them Both Baby Shower from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hot Springs Ambulance Service Meeting Room located next to the hospital at 1861 Hwy 71 (Cascade Road). This will be an Open House format so you can come and go as you please.
People are asked to bring unwrapped baby items for the babies and a monetary donation for the mothers. These items and monies will be distributed locally to such organizations as the Department of Social Services and Women Escaping a Violent Environment (W.E.A.V.E). Refreshments will be served at the event.
When asked why HSARTL was starting this event, President Beth Spitzer answered, “We recognize that some women are in difficult circumstances when they learn that they are pregnant. We want to be able to help and support those who are in such situations. I sincerely hope that Hot Springs will come out and support this effort in such a way that we can really bless some of these organizations that are helping women and children in need in our local area.”

HSARTL meets the third Thursday of the month at 5 PM in the library at Bethesda Lutheran Church and School located at 1537 Baltimore Avenue.
