WWII Veteran finally receives grave marker appropriate for a hero

HOT SPRINGS – Wayne Leonard Wells passed away May 31, 2011, with little fanfare, the kind a hero would deserve.
Laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs, Wells’ resting place was marked with a simple metal stake bearing his name, date of birth and date of death. His story seemingly lost to time.
Yet as the years went by, something about his name piqued the interest of Evergreen Cemetery car…
