LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

To the Editor:

Amber Hulse is and always has been a Hot Springs hometown girl. She’s the real deal for conservatives, veterans, and families in Senate District 30.

I worked with Amber to Save-The-VA and her grit played a role in keeping our VA doors open. As a fellow veteran’s daughter, she’s backed our vets since 7th grade in 2012, protesting and writing letters to D.C. – a true advocate with history of serving our community.

Except for stints at USD and Georgetown Law, she’s always called her folks’ ranch south of town home. She has not changed her voter registration from her family’s ranch since she registered at 18. Her Christian values shine bright. She was a fellow for the Alliance Defending Freedom, which fights religious freedom battles in our nation. It’s one thing to say you’re a Christian, it’s another to fight for religious rights as part of your career.

I previously supported and considered Mr. Goodwin a friend. The reason I am responding is that he signed his attack as a Retired LTC. The way he attacked Amber’s Christian values is behavior unbecoming of a retired LTC in the US Army and someone who claims to be Christian. It is shameful for a fellow Army brother to take cheap shots at a veteran’s daughter.

This election can’t be about outright lies or misleading innuendos. It’s about electing someone who can deliver results for our community. The clear winner? Amber Hulse. I’ve witnessed her hustle firsthand, getting the job done when our values were on the line. This smear campaign says more about Mr. Goodwin than our fantastic gal, Amber, who’s stepping up to bat for our community. It’s time we rally behind someone who walks the talk – let’s give our district a voice again! Vote Amber Hulse for Senate District 30!
