Based on what was reported in last week’s Fall River County Commission news article about the Commissioners approving hand-counting ballots in the upcoming primary election, County Auditor Sue Ganje said she may have been misheard so wanted to clarify that she “would not make her election boards stay to count ballots after they have worked a 13-hour day.” As stated in the article, she will hire a separate group of people to count the ballots. She assures the public that her courthouse staff will be working the election until the job is done. Ganje added that she will also be submitting some information to the newspaper soon that will better explain how the hand counting of ballots will work in the June primary.
