    ORAL – Later this summer, Angostura Dam will celebrate 80 years when construction first began on the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation project, located on the Cheyenne River, about six miles as the crow flies from Hot Springs.Angostura is the Spanish word for narrows, and Angostura Dam was constructed at the previously named Jackson Narrows.
